Prevention Education for Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, Grooming, and Healthy Relationships

Program Goals:
- To educate high school students of all diverse populations in high school about dating violence, sexual assault, grooming, consent, how to be an Upstander and healthy relationships
- To help students identify the signs and symptoms of dating violence, sexual assault, and grooming
- To teach students how to prevent dating violence, sexual assault, and grooming
- To help students develop healthy relationship skills
- How to respond and find resources to support survivors
Program Objectives:
By the end of this education program, high school students will be able to:
- Define dating violence, sexual assault, and grooming.
- Identify the signs and symptoms of dating violence, sexual assault, and grooming.
- Explain how to prevent dating violence, sexual assault, and grooming.
- Explain what consent is.
- Learn about apps and self-defense tools that can help with prevention.
- Demonstrate how to be a good bystander and what to say to someone when they experience any of these situations.
- List the characteristics of healthy relationships.
- Demonstrate healthy relationship skills, such as communication, conflict resolution, and respect.
- Identify resources for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and grooming.
